GAME OVER It's full time in Klagenfurt, marking a memorable 2-1 win for Bilic's boys. Germany were pretty awful, but take nothing away from Croatia, who were in fine form, well worthy of all three points. After Olic doubled Croatia's lead, it looked like game over for the Germans, who managed to half the defecit with ten minutes to go. It wasn't to be however, meaning the Germans must beat Austria next Monday. If Austria beat Poland this evening or the match ends in a draw, Croatia are through to the quarter-finals with one group game left to play. Croatia 2-1 Germany.

BOOKINGS GALORE Lehmann talks his way into the referee's little black book before Luka Modric escapes with just a yellow card after a wreckless two-footed lunge.
91'
RED MIST! Bastian Schweinsteiger becomes the first player to receive his marching orders at Euro 2008 after flooring Jerko Leko. Bit of play-acting, but he had to go.
88'
KEEP-BALL Croatia try to run the clock down with a cheeky game of keep-ball down by the corner flag. We're heading into stoppage time shortly...
86'
FINAL CHANGE Slaven Bilic sures up his back-line, throwing on Knezevic in place of Kranjcar.
85'
NERVY END Germany are pushing everybody forward in search of the equaliser, leaving huge gaps at the back. Still time for one more, but at which end...?
82'
CROATIAN CHANGE Goalscorer Darijo Srna makes way for Jerko Leko. Can Croatia hold on...?
80'
POSITIVE CHANGE Attacking change from Loew, as Kevin Kuranyi comes on in place of the ineffective Clemens Fritz.
78'
GOAAAL!!!! Never write off the Germans! A sweet strike from Lukas Podolski flies past Pletikosa. Croatia didn't clear their lines with that one. The comeback could be on! Croatia 2-1 Germany.
75'
WEAK STRIKE Slick passing move from the Germans, culminating in a timid Schweinsteiger drive, which finds the arms of Pletikosa.
73'
NO PENETRATION For all the possession they've had, Germany have created few real chances. A fine Croatian performance though, in stark contrast to Germany's effort.
71'
OLIC MAKES WAY Mladen Petric replaces the engine that is Ivica Olic. Superb display!
68'
CROATIA IN CONTROL At this rate, Croatia are cruising to the quarter-finals. Germany just don't look like scoring.
65'
WEAK EFFORT Frings upends Kranjcar on the edge of the box. The Pompey midfielder has a go, but fires straight at the German wall.
63'
GOMEZ OFF Mario Gomez makes way for Bastian Schweinsteiger. Podolski will partner Klose up front with Schweinsteiger playing down the left, but it could well be too little, too late.
61'
GOAAAAL!!!! Ivan Rakitic's cross takes a massive deflection off Podolski and smashes back off the post straight into the path of Ivica Olic to stroke home. Not another 3-0...?
58'
STUDS ON SHOW Torsten Frings goes in hard on Srna, catching the Croatian goalscorer with a fierce studs up challenge. Srna goes off for treatment...
55'
OUT OF SORTS Captain Ballack's not happy with his team's lack of effort. If Croatia were laboured last time out, then Germany just aren't at the races today.
53'
FUMBLED Jens Lehmann makes a meal of Luka Modric's teasing drive, gathering at the second attempt.
51'
URGENT PLAY Germany need a goal and they know it. The midfield are flooding the Croatian penalty area without really testing Pletikosa. Croatia still look a real threat on the break.
49'
CAUGHT FLAPPING Pletikosa punches straight to the feet of Ballack, who lofts the ball well off target. He had more time. Poor effort from the German skipper.
47'
POSITIVE START Good start from Odonkor, racing down the wing to win a corner. The delivery causes a few problems before the ball is pumped up field.
46'
SECOND HALF The two sides are back out for the second half. Unsurprisingly, Marcell Jansen makes way for David Odonkor with Lahm switching to left-back and Fritz dropping back to right-back. Croatia are unchanged.
45'
HALF TIME Croatia have taken the game to Germany so far, going in at the break with a well deserved 1-0 lead. Worryingly for the Germans, it could have been more. Marcell Jansen looks completely out of his depth against the nippy Corluka. Croatia have bossed the midfield and with Rakitic down the left, are a real threat on the counter. Germany are completely out of ideas and will surely make changes in the second half. A real test for the 'favourites' now. Croatia 1-0 Germany.
43'
BOOKING Croatia's Simunic goes into Frank De Bleeckere's notebook for stupidly kicking the ball away.
41'
POINT BLANK SAVE The Germans are rocking. Corluka skins Marcell Jansen, finding the feet of Kranjcar, who fires straight at Lehmann. Talk about weak link, you have to talk about Marcell Jansen.
39'
EASY FOR THE 'KEEPER Much better passing from the German side. Lahm sends a flighted ball into the box, but it's easy for the Croatian shot-stopper, who gathers under no pressure whatsoever.
36'
FREE HEADER Christoph Metzelder misses a glorious opportunity to pull Germany level. The towering centre back towers above the rest to meet Frings' dangerous corner, but his header sails over the bar.
33'
INEFFECTIVE Germany are struggling to create any real chances against a dogged Croatian defence. Podolski's seen little of the ball down the left, while Klose and Gomez have offered next to nothing up front.
31'
SUPER STOP Super effort from Ballack draws a fine save from Pletikosa, diving to his right to deny Ballack's ferocious free kick.
29'
CROATIA ON TOP Could and perhaps should be two, as Olic cushions the ball into the path of Kranjcar, who hammers over the top.
27'
POOR PLAY Widely tipped to shine at the tournament, Mario Gomez fluffs a superb chance to play in Podolski, with a simply woeful pass.
24'
GERMAN RESPONSE Podolski wins a free kick in a dangerous position under a challenge from Srna, only for Frings to fire straight at the Croatian wall. Srna becomes the first man to go into the referee's book for that tackle.
22'
GOAAAAL!!!! Darijo Srna pokes the ball past Jens Lehmann from close range to give Croatia a surprise lead. Great play down the left between Pranjic and Rakitic caught Jansen napping - poor defending! Croatia 1-0 Germany.
19'
SUPERB CHALLENGE Christoph Metzelder slides in with a brilliantly timed challenge at the feet of Ivica Olic to deny the striker a possible run at Lehmann's goal.
16'
VICIOUS CORNER Croatia win a corner following some good work down the left from Rakitic, but Srna's corner comes to nothing. A real test for Loew's boys, this one.
13'
GERMAN COUNTER Germany are turning the screw now. In a flash, Lahm bombs forward on the counter, lays the ball off to Klose, but his first touch is poor and Croatia clear their lines.
10'
DANGEROUS BALL Neat build up involving Ballack and Gomez has the Croats on the backfoot. The ball drops to Podolski, but before he can get it onto his preferred side, the ball's hacked clear.
7'
HEADED CLEAR After coming in for plenty of criticism, Per Mertesacker beats his man to head clear Pranjic's teasing cross from the left.
5'
POSSESSION PLAY The Germans are patiently stroking the ball around in their own half, frustrating their opponents and the Croatian faithful in the stands.
3'
SLOPPY PLAY Poor play from Kovac, conceding possession under pressure from Klose. Klose feeds Fritz, but his shot is charged down and the danger is cleared.
1'
WE'RE OFF! The game's underway in Klagenfurt. This game could be won and lost in the midfield, with the likes of Modric and Kovac coming face to face Frings and Ballack.

TEAM NEWS Joachim Loew names the same starting XI that triumphed over Poland last Sunday, with Mario Gomez partnering Miroslav Klose in attack. As expected, Croatia's Mladen Petric makes way for Ivan Rakitic, who slips in behind Ivica Olic.

PREVIEW Day six of Euro 2008 sees Joachim Loew's much-fancied German side go head-to-head with England-slayers Croatia at the Worthersee Stadion in Klagenfurt. Germany got off to a convincing start, comfortably beating Poland 2-0 thanks to a brace from big-game player Lukas Podolski, who looks set to win his 50th cap in a German shirt later this evening. The Croats meanwhile, kick-started their campaign with a laboured 1-0 victory over co-hosts Austria, and will really have to step things up a gear against a formidable German outfit. Loew is expected to stick with his winning XI, while Slaven Bilic looks set to tinker with his far from impressive forward line. Mladen Petric offered little off the shoulder of the tireless Ivica Olic, and could be replaced by either Schalke midfielder Ivan Rakitic or Werder Bremen hitman Ivan Klasnic, both desperate for a piece of Euro action. Last time the two sides met, Croatia stormed to a 3-0 quarter-final win at the 1998 World Cup - their sole victory over the Germans, but without a top quality centre forward akin to Davor Suker, a repeat performance is most unlikely. Since both teams won their opening matches in Group B, the game holds extra significance, as the winner will be all but guaranteed a place in next week's quarter-finals.
